Let’s talk about water. The type of water that comes into your home be it from sewer or a dishwasher malfunction has to be categorized. The main reason we categorize is so we bring the proper equipment to dry your house out and make it clean and sanitary again. Below are the categories and what each one entails.

Category 1: This water originates from a sanitary source such as from broken clean water supply lines, clean water from a toilet tank or bowl, faucets, and bottled water. If not taken care of as soon as possible it can degrade into category 2 or 3.

Category 2: This water contains significant contamination. This kind of water can include washing machine overflow, toilet overflow with some urine but no feces, and dishwasher overflow. If not taken care of as soon as possible it can degrade into category 3.

Category 3: This water is grossly contaminated and may include sewage, flooding from rivers or streams, wind driven rain, water from beyond the toilet trap, water from the toilet bowl with feces, and standing water that has begun to support microbial growth.
