Water damage in basement, Yarmouth, IA

This is a basement that was damaged by a water heater that had a spraying pipe leak.  The homeowner did not find this for a few weeks as they were out of town.  The paint discoloration is due to the water affecting the wall and building materials.  When drying walls we use a balanced drying system.  We will use air movers, dehumidifiers, and/or wall cavity drying systems.  The after picture is after we came in, cleaned it up, dried it, sealed the walls and painted it.  The homeowners were amazed at how good it looked and was able to start using the basement again!
